DARK TRANQUILLITY, DEATHSTARS, ASTRAL DOORS Confirmed For Sweden's PEACE & LOVE Festival

DARK TRANQUILLITY, DEATHSTARS, TOTALT JÄVLA MÖRKER, ASTRAL DOORS and ENGEL are among the newly confirmed bands for the Peace & Love festival, set to take place July 4-8 in Borlänge, Sweden. Also scheduled to appear are THE HAUNTED, HARDCORE SUPERSTAR, SOILWORK and BURST, among others.

The Peace & Love festival started in 1999 as a manifestation against violence and racism. "We want to raise important issues, question the world we live in and raise awareness among people and that's why we try to spread the message of diversity, solidarity and understanding," the organizers write on the festival's web site. "Each year has its own theme and since it's election year in Sweden it felt quite natural that this year's theme would be Democracy. This will appear in the form of lectures, workshops and debates on our Democracydays that starts 4th of July and ends 6th of July. The finishing of these days will also be the kick-off for the festival with a lot of entertainment."
